HELLO. I’M CARRIE ANN. (SHE/HER)

I am a community worker, holistic practitioner, and creative guide.
A dreamer + artist who believes in radical imagination.

My work brings together studies in transpersonal psychology, expressive arts, intersectional feminist spirituality, and clinical hypnosis.

My professional experience spans twenty years supporting communities focused on reproductive justice, mental health, and well being. I have practiced hypnosis and EFT tapping for over a decade within private practice, a community collective, and a hospital-based detox and treatment program. Starting in my teens, I waited tables in dozens of restaurants across six states.

I am a member of the Institute for the Development of Human Arts and currently in the process of completing an Advanced Certificate in Mental Health Counseling at SUNY New Paltz.

My art practice has included visual art and installation, community ritual and ritual theater, and interdisciplinary collaborations.

I was raised by two public school educator parents in rural New Jersey and spent two decades in and around Oakland, California. I currently reside on Lenape land in the Mahicantuck Valley presently known as Hudson Valley, New York. My people come from Ireland, Portugal, and Hungary and I am remembering who they were before and as they became white. I practice ancestor reverence and am engaged in learning the folkways within my lineages. My work seeks to be culturally-attuned and trauma-aware, which I experience as an ongoing process of deepening alignment with the practices and embodiment of collective liberation.

My credentials include:

MA, Transpersonal Psychology with a Concentration in Expressive Arts - John F. Kennedy University - Orinda, CA

MA, Women’s Spirituality - New College of California - San Francisco, CA

BS, Media Arts + Design - James Madison University - Harrisonburg, VA
