I am a Holistic Practitioner and Creative Guide holding a warm and compassionate space for my clients to know themselves more fully. I am creator and facilitator of a Self-Soothing Skills Workshop Series focused on self-compassion, guided meditation, emotional freedom technique, and art as healing.
I work with clients struggling with stress, worry, overwhelm, and critical thoughts. Drawing on studies in psychology, feminism, expressive arts, and altered states of awareness my approach is practical, intuitive, and creative. Over the past 17 years, I have supported thousands of individuals as they get to know themselves, meet challenges, and navigate transitions.
I use she/her pronouns. I bring an anti-oppression, trauma-informed lens to my work knowing the structures within which we live impact our individual and collective well-being.
My education includes a master's degree in Transpersonal Psychology from John F. Kennedy University and a master's degree in Women’s Spirituality from New College of California. I am certified in Clinical Hypnotherapy having completed 300 hours of training and supervised practicum through HCH Institute in 2010. I received my certification in Clinical EFT at the Intermediate Level through EFT Universe in 2018. You can view my CV here.
I have spent the last 20 years living in and around Oakland, California and recently moved to the New York City area. I practice ancestor reverence, make art, create ritual, connect with nature, and seek to understand my roots as a path to greater awareness and responsibility.
I see clients over phone and video sessions. I also conduct in-home Tending the Hearth consultations supporting folks to release the physical and emotional aspects of clutter. Please contact me below or call me at 510.907.0075 to set up a complimentary 20-minute consultation.
“Having known Carrie for many years both professionally and personally,
I cannot speak highly enough of how gifted she is at her work. Her dedication,
integrity, wisdom, warmth and grace are the golden threads of her healing arts.
A shining gem of a human being through and through.”
~ Julia Barokov, Psychotherapist
“I’ve been seeing Carrie for regular hypnotherapy work for over a year now
and it has profoundly changed and healed and opened my life. I leave every
session more connected to MY truth, more grounded and in love with myself.”
~Trina Spiller, Designer
“Carrie wisely and lovingly guided me down the pathway to my own heart and held me,
through prayer and practice, while I peeked inside. Through our work, I was able to
release some tentative spaces, left-over hurts, to allow not only space but perspective
for opening to new love. Carrie is a gem and a wise woman. Your heart is safe to
grow with her.”
~Kate Brenton, Lomilomi Practitioner, Writer & Teacher
